- Two Marrow Bones
- 1/4 cup Olive Oil
- Clove of Garlic
- One Lemon A Sprig of Rosemary Salt and Pepper to Taste
- Your Favorite Toasted Bread
Preheat oven to 475 degrees. While your oven is heating, finely chop your garlic. You can use however much you like but remember, the amount you cut will be covering the tops of the marrow bones. Some people really love garlic, so if that’s you, than go for it. Once chopped, add your garlic, olive oil and rosemary to a small bowl and set aside. Place your bones marrow up on a baking sheet, drizzle your olive oil concoction onto the bones, salt and pepper to taste. Roast in the oven for about 45 minutes. Your marrow should be bubbling slightly and the bones will have browned. Remove from the oven. Once they’ve cooled a little bit add a squeeze of your lemon, scoop a little spoonful onto your toasted bread and enjoy!
Bought a whole hog last summer, been “very” pleased. Since then, twice bought gift packages of pork cuts for others. So, thought I venture into your beef products by ordering today 3 lbs of beef canoed marrow bones. Will be trying this recipe first.
