We farm for the well-being of our animals, the health of our pastures, and to support the surrounding community.

FORGING CONNECTIONS

Home Place Pastures strives to connect those who want local, ethical, top quality meat directly with the hard working farmers who produce it. To do this, we distribute to chefs and retailers around our region. We sell our products online and ship directly to households. We operate a butcher shop and restaurant on our 150 year old family farm. We sell at local farmers markets. We do everything we can think of to help get our product to the people who support us, and in turn support our farm and the other small family farms in the south who produce for us.

TRUST AND TRANSPARENCY

The trust of our customers is paramount to our success as a farm. Food safety The best way to learn about us is to come visit! We operate a small butcher shop and eatery on the farm, and our own USDA inspected harvest and processing facility. It's all right here on the Home Place, under our control! We offer regular tours and events to educate our customers about our practices, and assist other farmers in adapting regenerative practices.

You can learn about our Farming Practices here (the word “here” should be linked to the Farming Practices page), and keep up with our blog to dig deeper into our practices, why they matter, and our context in the greater meat industry.

ROOTED IN PLACE

The Bartlett family has farmed this same land east of Como, MS for over 150 years and 5 generations. The 5th generation started HPP in 2014 with a determination to not only move the farm in a new direction (away from input intensive row crops), but also to create jobs and economic development in our rural community. We are dedicated not only to regenerating our farmland, but also to running a business that supports our

surrounding community. Our one of a kind on farm events highlight the rich music and food culture of our hill country MS region.
