The first thing I noticed was the difference in fat color I trimmed it and saved it for tallow. Smoked it for8 hours at 180 degrees with hickory and post oak. Finished it at 225. The end product was a delicious tender piece of meat and some burnt ends. Will definitely keep buying from Home Place.

Just made this tonight to celebrate my Mom’s birthday. Cooked it at 200 for 2 hours for a nice rare slice. We had 5 of us eat and still have 3 plus meals left. It was delicious! I didn’t even have to trim before cooking.

Good size, well marbled strip steak. Perfect for when you don’t want something as big as a ribeye. As with all HPP meats, there’s almost a sweetness to the taste.

Excellent cuts of meat that cook to perfection every time. Just manage the meat temperature and cook at 350-400 degrees grill temp.
