With the help of the patriarch of the Bartlett family, Mike Bartlett and the brilliant mind behind humane slaughter Dr. Temple Grandin, we built and operate a USDA inspected slaughter and processing plant in the middle of our farming operation. An essential part of our vertically integrated business model, this facility allows to control the humane handling and quality of our products through to the very end of the process. Every bit of meat we sell comes from a carcass slaughtered at this facility- we do not bring in any outside "boxed meat". We also offer custom, private label, and deer processing for local farmers and hunters. This is a truly special facility and one of only a handful in the entire southeast operating on a working farm.
