POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an organized and motivated Office Assistant to join our growing team. This individual will provide essential administrative support and include the responsibilities below:

  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
  • Check mail and make bank deposits
  • Help resolve time sheet discrepancies in our payroll system
  • Managing calendar for meetings and events
  • Supply inventory management and ordering
  • Organize and maintain company files and records
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable using QuickBooks software
  • Handle general office tasks such as scanning, copying, and mailing documents.
  • Support staff with any other administrative duties as needed
  • Assist with data entry and processing orders as needed
  • Help maintain a clean and welcoming office environment


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent (some college or relevant coursework a plus).
  • Previous experience in an office or administrative role preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal- professional phone and email communication is especially important
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office-related software
  • Independent problem solving and initiative
  • An interest in local sustainable agriculture


PAY AND BENEFITS

  • Hourly position $16 - $18 / hour starting range.
  • Biannual performance reviews (July and January)
