Home Place Pastures is a 5th generation family farm producing humanely raised grass fed beef and pastured pork. Our farming practices focus on animal welfare and the health of our soils. We operate a USDA inspected slaughter and processing facility and a retail butcher shop on the farm. From our processing facility, we service wholesale accounts from Nashville to New Orleans each week, using our own trucks locally, and through food service distributors for regional customers. We also operate a growing direct to consumer online store and meat subscription program, which we pack and ship from our plant using Fedex and UPS carriers.
Home Place Pastures is seeking a Full Time Warehouse Supervisor. Schedule will be Monday-Friday 7am 4pm and will include the following responsibilities:
Fulfillment Center’s Mission
We deliver the RIGHT PRODUCT to the RIGHT CUSTOMER at the RIGHT TIME in the RIGHT CONDITION!
The Warehouse Supervisor will follow this mission by:
- Managing the picking and packing team (1 to 2 staff members currently)
- Learning and utilizing inventory and fulfillment software
- Executing accurate picking a packing to make sure our customers get excellent, efficient service
- Assisting with customer service issues and communication
- Product rotation and meticulous inventory management and organization.
- Manage wholesale ordering platform, back-end website fulfillment management, shipping label printing, and communications with FedEx Ground and Express on pick-ups and delivery issues, communication with wholesale customers on pickups and scheduling.
- Cycle counting to ensure accurate inventory counts
Objectives:
- Follow systems and maintain accuracy and organization so that a team of 2 can pick and pack and label at least 20 orders/ hr
- Maintain a fulfillment goals for all online orders.
- Have wholesale orders packed, checked, palletized and ready to ship before pickups.
- Eliminate mis-packs and inventory gaps
- Daily inventory organization and replenishment to maintain a organized cooler, freezer, and warehouse at all times

Hours:
- Monday through Friday: 7am to 4pm with an hour break for lunch
Considerations
Applicants must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, work on their feet for a full shift, and quickly retain the knowledge of HPP practices and cuts to effectively service customers. The competency of this individual will be critical to the company’s ability to grow its e-commerce and wholesale business. This also involves working in freezers from below 0 degrees to 32 degrees frequently.

Compensation:
$20 - $22/ hr
*If employee elects to join company health care plan, HPP pays 30 percent of monthly cost. This percentage increases based on performance and time worked. Employee is responsible for the remaining balance.
