July 15th "Whole Hog" Regenerative Ag Experience

Home Place Pastures is offering an in depth, on farm experience for our customers to forge a deep connection between the meat they consume and what it takes to produce it. The workshop will include a full day of hands-on learning with Marshall Bartlett both on the farm and in the butcher room. We hope you’ll come spend the day with us, enjoy yourself, and leave with new insights, inspirations, friends, and lots of good meat.


What: “Whole Hog” Regenerative Agriculture Experience

When: July 15th from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Full itinerary will be emailed upon ticket purchase or can be provided upon request. Ticket includes breakfast and lunch. 

Where: Home Place Pastures 1630 Home Place Rd Como, MS

Take advantage of this deep dive into vertically integrated regenerative agriculture, from the soil to whole animal butchering. Session includes walking farm tour and concept demonstration, full USDA abattoir tour, and hands on whole animal butchering. Participants will get to butcher a half hog and beef quarter and can opt to take the meat they’ve hand butchered home!

 Choose "Meatless" to participate in all activities but opt out of taking your pork and beef share home. 

Choose "Carnivore" to take home what you butcher! Each pair of participants will take home a 1/2 hog share and 1/6 beef share. Details on cuts and quantities available upon request, and will also be emailed upon ticket purchase.
