At Home Place Pastures
We’re heading to The Virgin Island Sustainable Farm Institute, to help rebuild after hurricane Maria directly hit the island. The Institute is one of the main reasons our founder Marshall Bartlett returned home to transition his family farm into sustainable agriculture. It is the heart of the local food movement on the island, and is active in preserving the ecology of St Croix and the surrounding reefs and aquatic ecosystems. A hub for creative thinkers, farmers, and environmental problem solvers, this place is truly a treasure.
Maria ruined several buildings, and almost the entirety of the farm’s infrastructure and production systems are gone. So five Home Place members are flying down to help rebuild. We need to raise 2k to help get us down there- so we’re doing what we do best- throwing a party.
